时间:2013年8月21日下午3:00 地点:智能楼四楼报告厅 报告人:Prof. Greg Asher The University of Nottingham 报告题目:Research into More Electric Aircraft Technologies at the University of Nottingham 报告人简介: Professor Asher received his PhD in 'The Modelling of Dynamic Systems using Bond Graphs' from the University of Bath, England in 1979. He subsequently worked as a Research Assistant at UCNW Bangor, Wales, investigating the physics of mixed-permeability superconducting systems and their feasibility in levitation applications. This work was undertaken in collaboration with the Rutherford and Appleton Laboratories. He was appointed lecturer in Control at the University of Nottingham in 1984 where he developed an interest in motor drive systems, particularly in the control of AC machines and their applications. He was appointed Reader in Motor Drives in 1996 and Professor of Electrical Drives and Control in 2000. He served as Head of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from 2004 to 2008 and Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning of the Engineering Faculty from 2008-2011. He has served as a member of the Executive Council of the European Power Electronics Association from 2000-2004. He was the Chair of the Power Electronics Technical Committee of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society from 2004-2008. He is currently an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics.
