2019年12月2日上午,香港城市大学Gang Feng教授与香港科技大学Ling Shi副教授应邀在将军路校区自动化学院4号楼507会议室分别做了题为“Optimal converge control of heterogeneous mobile sensor networks”与“Sensor Scheduling for Remote State Estimation with Unknown Communication Channel Statistics: A Learning-based Approach”的学术报告。报告由南京航空航天大学自动化学院院长江驹教授主持,自动化学院副院长陈谋教授及部分师生参加了学术报告会。
Feng教授首先以环境监视与信息侦查为应用背景,引出了异构多传感器网络的收敛问题,并指出了多传感器收敛过程中的研究难点。接着,Feng教授介绍了异构传感器网络的数学模型框架,提出了一种收敛性能指标函数,并对性能指标函数进行了分析。然后,Feng教授给出了基于固定通信拓扑和收敛通信范围的收敛目标,并提出了对应的收敛控制律,同时对收敛性进行了分析。通过一组仿真结果,Feng教授对所提出的方法进行了验证,展示了他们团队的最新研究成果。最后,Feng教授对汇报内容进行了总结,并对如何将异构传感器网络扩展至多维空间等研究方向提出了展望。
随后,Shi教授向在场师生分享了他在最优状态估计方面的最新研究成果。他首先以智能制造与环境监测为例,介绍了无线传感器网络最优状态估计问题的研究意义。接着,他通过结合传统卡尔曼滤波器与伯努利丢包模型,引出了最优状态估计的核心问题。然后,Shi教授详细讲解了已知信道条件与未知信道条件下的调度问题,提出了用于最优估计策略的阈值结构与异步学习算法,并通过仿真验证展示了该方法的有效性。最后,Shi教授对多传感器信息融合的最优状态估计等研究方向进行了展望。
报告结束后,Feng教授和Shi教授与参会师生针对报告内容进行了热烈的讨论,对师生们提出的问题给予了详细的解答,并与部分师生合影留念。
Gang Feng教授简介:
Gang Feng received the B.Eng and M.Eng. Degrees in Automatic Control from Nanjing Aeronautical Institute, China in 1982 and in 1984 respectively, and the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1992.
Professor Feng was a Lecturer in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, 1991 and a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer, University of New South Wales, 1992-1999. He has been with City University of Hong Kong since 2000 where he is now a Chair Professor of Mechatronic Engineering. He was also a ChangJiang Chair Professor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, awarded by Ministry of Education. He was received Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, the IEEE International on Fuzzy Systems Outstanding Paper Award, the Best Paper Awarded of IEEE International Conference on Neural Networks and Signal Processing and the Best Theoretical Paper Award in the Second World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation. He is listed as a SCI highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics. He is an author of one research monograph entitled “Analysis and Synthesis of Fuzzy Control Systems: A Model Based Approach”, and over 300 SCI indexed papers including over 130 in IEEE Transactions. His research interests include intelligent systems and control, networked control systems, and multi-agent systems and control.
Professor Feng is a fellow of IEEE. He has been the Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on Automation Control, IEEE Trans. on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Trans. Systems, Man, & Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Journal of Systems Science and Complexity, and Journal of Control Theory and Applications.
Ling Shi教授简介:
Ling Shi received the B.S. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Kowloon, Hong Kong, in 2002 and the Ph.D. degree in Control and Dynamical Systems from California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, in 2008. He is currently an associate professor at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include cyber-physical systems security, networked control systems, sensor scheduling, event-based state estimation, and exoskeleton robots. He is a senior member of IEEE. He served as an editorial board member for The European Control Conference 2013-2016. He was a subject editor for International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control (2015-2017). He has been serving as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems from July 2016, and an associate editor for IEEE Control Systems Letters from Feb 2017. He also served as an associate editor for a special issue on Secure Control of Cyber Physical Systems in the IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems in 2015-2017. He served as the General Chair of the 23rd International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2018).
